Meet Claire. Claire was born in Cape Town in 1974. While travelling and working in London, Claire travelled to Europe, Asia and Central America and developed a keen interest in photography.

After returning to Cape Town, Claire graduated from Ruth Prowse School of Art with a diploma in artistic photography. After some years behind the lens, Claire began to apply her creativity through demonstrating her ideas in acrylic on canvas.

Claire is inspired by the Impressionists and the rich and diverse local flora, using various techniques to portray light, texture and movement. Her work is large, expressionist, and dynamic, using palette knife to interpret the abstract beauty and sensations around her.

Claire strives to capture her experience of life, in an authentic and emotive way. Claire exhibits her artwork in local galleries, also garnering international recognition in selling worldwide.
